An Ode to My Favorite Season.

It’s Mother’s Day, so here’s a shout-out to all mothers who’ve made enormous sacrifices for their families.  

Compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

Once in a while, my mind drifts to that painful experience. I suppressed the thought for an extended period as though it had never happened. It’s interesting how the mind works.
