I’m excited about the holidays this year and look forward to Christmas. With all that’s gone on in 2023, I’m choosing happiness and embracing many things entirely.  

What about you?

It’s never happened, but I put up my Christmas tree and all the decorations on Thanksgiving Day. I even created my own bows. Staying up late reading while enjoying the brightly lit tree and hot chocolate maybe wasn’t a good idea because I got strangers ringing the doorbell twice. 

It's surprising and scary. 

That’s life.

I met wonderful people at a special Christmas dinner and attended our town’s festivities, the Christmas parade, and tree lighting. The children looked thrilled, taking Santa pictures and searching for the little elf. 

What delicious gingerbread cookies and hot apple cider!  

Getting together with family and friends is nice. However, I missed the Voice Finale. The Voice brought me much happiness. Just look at the smiles on the judges' faces.  

I hear Niall’s team won.

My daughter adores Niall, and I do too, but I was rooting for John Legend’s group. 

I love you, John Legend.

Besides happiness, I would like to share something else with you this holiday season.

I wish you peace wherever you are and wherever you go. 

With all the excitement of the holidays, finding inner peace is good. Breathe in and hold, breathe out and hold, relax, and create that moment where you, too, are happy.
