Family Moments
In my book, Autumn and her father do not come together during the holidays, but form a beautiful bond nonetheless. One adult reader shared, “The story reminds me of the days with my father.”
Although it was a long process, my book eventually came together. Just as my book worked out, things may ultimately resolve for divided families, as well. There’s nothing like peace, and there’s a lot more to life than hurt and pain.
There are wonderful moments when our actions can make a powerful impact.
Not too long ago, I walked into a store in a not-so-diverse town and presented my book to the owner. “Let me have a few copies she said, “Please write your name, indicate that it’s a new release, and print the price.”
The next day, when I returned, the woman had found a special place for my books. I whispered, “I am going to cry. Would you mind if I took a picture of it?” I asked. “Not at all,” she replied. As I was leaving, I noticed a large heart-shaped design on the wall surrounded by lights. “Oh wow!” I said. “That heart is so beautiful.” Inside the heart it read, “It is cool to love one another,” and next to the heart was an easel with a black boy painting, looking out.
Whether it's love for families, friends, or strangers, love truly makes life worthwhile.
Thanks for reading,
