Founded in 2025, White Butterfly Publishing honors my mother, Maria, who embodied generosity and compassion. Maria cared deeply for others, especially those in need, and she took pleasure in feeding people. She cooked so much that there were always leftovers to take home. 

Although strict, I adored my mother as a child and often followed her around. Later in life, she would usually embrace my husband and me whenever we visited. My mother loved her family, but she shared a special bond with her granddaughter, Maria, whom she was named after. The two were inseparable. 

The day of Mom’s passing, white butterflies swarmed the entryway of Maria and her loving husband. Interestingly, I spotted a white butterfly next to me in the upstairs bathroom, a few houses down from where my mother used to live. A white butterfly also accompanied me, miles away at my in-laws' home, in the second-level bathroom.

Swarms of white butterflies were a beautiful sight, I will never forget. Hence, the name White Butterfly Publishing. Currently, my work and vision for White Butterfly Publishing are to publish books that explore themes of beauty, compassion, happiness, family, hope, and more. I will support initiatives or projects that reflect my mother’s values.
