Mental Health Month
What self-care practices do you engage in? With May as Mental Health Month, I hope that you are carving out some time for yourself. According to Eleanor Brown, “Self-care is not selfish. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”
A few reminders…
- Love yourself.
- Appreciate.
- Enjoy the journey.
Exciting News
- My daughter has earned her doctorate!
- My book trailer is finally here.
- I co-authored a book.
My Co-Authored Book
Who would have ever thought I would write a non-fiction? I don’t have enough going on with my own fiction stories (Haha!), so when the idea of co-writing a book came along, I gladly accepted the offer.
The writing project was challenging because I had a short amount of time to complete it and a certain number of words. I also had to travel to my daughter’s graduation and entertain friends and family members. Don’t ask me how I did it, and don’t be surprised if this publication comes out before my book.
My Children’s Book
Autumn’s Adventure with Daddy: A Tale of Beauty and Happiness is crying out, "Print and release me now." Poor thing. It is not easy to go back and forth on the design until we get it right. Lots of patience and dedication are required in the world of publishing. While the release date may change, this beloved story has me excited.
Summer Break and Party
With summer break approaching, some of you may already be wondering how you will entertain the children. No stressing. Just remember that with all the pressure from school, your children deserve a good break.
I’m hosting a children’s summer reading kick-off party. I don’t have all the details yet, but stay tuned for more information on my website.
A Perfect Summer Mindset
If there’s such a thing as perfect…here it is:
Embrace the summer with your child/children. The sun will be shining, and if it isn’t, so what? Your days ahead are bright.
