Have you been enjoying your summer? 

The warm season and the excitement of the World Cup provided a welcome break from the ordinary. 

World Cup soccer games brought people together and made for a wonderful family bonding experience. We laughed; we screamed; and we cheered on some of our favorite teams. We didn’t always agree, and I loved my French team nonetheless. Don’t mess with Mbappe—or anyone else, for that matter. 

Although France lost and I missed watching Ronaldo (which was unfortunate), I still treasure the World Cup experience. But now that the World Cup is over, life resumes. 

I want to share an update on my book project. 

I found two young beta readers who will work their magic on my story, which features two main characters yet again. This time, however, one of the characters is nonhuman. Yes, that’s right! When the story came to me, I knew right away that it would be my second book because it is both serious and cute.
