Looking Back, Moving Forward

“If you have a goal that is very far out, and you approach it in little steps, you start to get there faster.”

Mae Jemison

As the new year arrives, I am reminded of all the blessings of 2024, one of which is having wonderful, supportive friends and relatives. We have created some beautiful memories together.

I wanted to publish my book in 2024, but its publication in 2025 will give me something to look forward to in the new year. Promoting my book will be a top priority, along with blogging and working on my next book.

If there are lessons to be learned, the first is patience. Things did not always go as planned, and that’s just a part of life.  Another lesson I learned is to be flexible. I don’t control everything, and changes will happen. Finally, I learned to stay true to myself when it comes to pursuing excellence. No matter how much I wanted to publish my book, I needed it to be top-notch before its introduction.

In the new year, as you set your goals, allow yourself to make mistakes and to fail. You may not have all the answers, but learning from your mistakes is where actual growth begins. Lastly, believe that you can achieve your goals, and you will.

Happy New Year!

I wish you a year filled with much love and happiness.
