Father’s Day Celebration

Jun 11, 2024 by Elvira Burgo

1.  Get up before he does, cook, and serve him breakfast in bed

2.  Have a child create something

3.  Give him a kiss and a huge embrace

4.  Express in words how wonderful he is

5.  Spend time doing what he likes

6.  If eating out, pay for his meal

7.  Cook his favorite food

8.  Give of your time

9.  Help with his to-do list

10.  Say a kind word

11.  Smile, laugh

12.  Better yet, make him laugh

13.  Show some appreciation

14.  Share good memories

15.  Pay him a compliment

16.  Write a handwritten note expressing thanks

17.  Call and wish someone a Happy Father’s Day

18.  Give a father a massage or pay to have one done

19.  Say “I love you” directly and not only on social media

20.  Acknowledge other fathers, not just the ones you know

21.  If families are spread out and out of town, plan a virtual celebration

22.  Remember absent fathers. A dad may need to hear some encouraging words

23.  Present a “special” gift, like a collage of his children or of him and his offspring/s

24.  Encourage him to talk. When he does, please don’t say a word and let him talk

Bonus: Be gentle with words. He may be big and strong, but he is still human.

Thanks for reading.
